Maytag says its 10-year limited parts warranty applies to all major kitchen and laundry appliances made after 2017, including coverage for all parts and labor during the first year. Some laundry pairs go further: a high-performing top-load pair adds labor for the first five years, and the commercial-grade in-home pair covers all parts and labor for five years plus limited parts to ten, when used in a single-family home (Maytag). Maytag's warranty page asks for your model number to show your exact coverage.
Practically: on a Maytag under ten years old, ask whether the failed part is covered before paying for it. You may still pay for the visit and labor.
